Friday Q

Taken from Friday Q:

FQ TOPIC: Strange.

FQ1: What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?

I'm pretty tame in my eating habits and having never visited India or anywhere exotic I'd say the srangest thing I've eaten is Pot Noodle sandwhiches. You 'cook' the pot noodle as normal. Butter some bread as normal then, using a fork, spread the pot noodles over the bread. Consume then drink all the sauce left in the pot noodle tub. Yummy!

FQ2: What's the strangest thing you've ever read?

The Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Shea & Robert Anton Wilson. It jumps about from character to character from place to place, I couldn't make head nor tale of it although I am resolved to!

FQ3: What's the strangest thing you've ever seen?

A Korean film I saw at the City Screen a couple of months ago called Old Boy - here's a summary:

"OLD BOY is a harrowing and extremely violent story of punishment and vengeance that is most definitely not for the squeamish. Nonetheless, and despite its provocations, it's an intelligent work and a sobering look at mental and physical deterioration that invites the audience to identify with the protagonist whilst simultaneously eliciting a feeling of repulsion. Approach with extreme caution.

Oh Dae-su (Choi Min-Sik), is kidnapped and wakes to find himself in a private makeshift prison. With a small television as his only link to the outside world, Oh Dae-su struggles to keep his mind and body intact, but when he learns through a news report that his wife has been killed, he begins a long and difficult project of digging an escape tunnel with a pair of chopsticks.

Before he can finish - and after 15 years behind bars - Oh Dae-su is released, with as little explanation as when he was locked up, and he's soon given a wad of money and a cellular phone by a bum on the street. Emotionally stunted but physically strong after 15 years in jail, Oh Dae-su struggles to unravel the secret of who is responsible for locking him up, and what happened to his wife and daughter."

It was very clever but VERY, VERY sick!

FQ You: What's the strangest thing you've ever done?

I do many strange things every day so I can't think of one example! I'll edit this post if I can think of something.
