Margaret saw a Dr's Registrar today and they said it's very unlikely Dad will ever be able to live by himself again. It's a sad thing to hear, especially for Dad who's only 65 (which is young to be put in a home of some sort) but it's the way it's going to be it seems. It's his heavy drinking that's the main cause they're guessing, but his hypoglycemia didn't help and that could have caused minor brain damage too. Still, hopefully he's going to be able to get the care he deserves now (which is VERY good care, my Dad is a marvellous man). Will just have to see. I'm back at work on Tuesday though. Worse luck.
