Well, this is it. The End. Finito.
I'm really sad actually, I've had an absolute blast doing this. Today has flown by in a haze of surfing, comments, entries, IM's, Youtube videos and everything. You guys have been awesome and we've all raised a lot of money for charity.
I can't wait for my finally tally to be worked out, I'm very, very proud of myself, and it's not often I can say that.
*sniff* I don't want it to end actually, I can see why some of the A-schedulers came back.
You guys rock!
Until next year (or you can friend my gledster2000.livejournal.com LJ),
This is Gledster's last entry (possibly).
The life of an average 31 year old male who's working in a cinema in Northumberland. ''Enthralling'' one newspaper doesn't say. ''Magnificent'' another forgets to write. You can't miss it!

Yeah, two more to go!
Blogger seems to be playing up. After a whole day of using Semagic to post to Blogger without a problem something's screwed up somewhere meaning I'm having to type this into Blogger manually, the slow and annoying way.
I was going to do a full list of who has commented and say "Thank you" but I can't focus that much right now. I will do one at one point, probably the nex time my brain is working.
What I WILL do now is post my final sponsors list (as it stands so far):

Nearly at the finish line so as long as Blogger doesn't crap on me anymore it'll be fine!July 29, 2007
Blogathon 2007 Entry 1
Woohoo, Blogathon has started. It's 5am GMT and the 'B' schedule has begun.
In store for you today are quizzes, madness, randomosity, song and entertainment recommendations and other stuff. All good fun.
Just to prove I'm here, here's my webcam shot:

Me with breakfast, yum!
What's doubly disturbing, is last night at work went wrong and I got to bed one hour and 40 minutes ago. Oh oh.
Right, I need to splash water on my face.
Back in 30! :D

More blogathon stuffs, yes I'm cheeky, no I'm not ashamed! :D
Just a quickie, posting some stuff about Blogathon 2007 that I'm doing this Sunday at 5am (GMT). Yes it's a daily reminder. Yes I'm asking for money. I apologise to anyone who's offended but I want to do my best to help my charity now I know I'm doing it for sure!
Blogging For: NSPCC (The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children)
Why I chose my charity:
I survived a broken home but it's affected me in a large way and, compared to some of the stuff I've seen, heard and read about (especially during my 3 months working for Social Services here in England) shows that, whilst I suffered through some really dark times, other children suffer (and are suffering) through much, much worse. I can't even begin to describe some of the cases I know about. These children need all the help they can get but with Councils watching budgets very carefully it's up to charities to work hard to make up the shortfall. That's what the NSPCC does, including running it's Freephone Childine service for children to ring and find a sympathetic voice. Amazing work, just amazing.
My plans for blogathon:
I've got LOADS of ideas, there'll probably be no real structure though (but I'll try). Lots of quizzes, from "who said this quote?" to "identify what/who is in this blurred picture" and song lyric games. I've ambitions to write (but not yet had the confidence/dedication to finish a story) so there will be lots of scenes/ideas from stories that are bouncing around my head, I'll probably write more about the NSPCC and I've contacted the NSPCC to see if I can have some stuff to send out to people as prizes or just for literature.
Incentive for donating
Donate at least £1 (or $1) and you can ask me anything and I'll respond on webcam (I can do videos or over IM). I'll also do silly things and take photos/video footage for people who pledge at least £2.50 ($5). So you'll have footage of me making a FOOL of myself AND have pledged money to charity too that will end up helping children get out of horrible situations. Go on! :D
Please sponsor me but following insructions on the above link. You don't need to send any money now, not until I've finished and survived the 24 hours!
Thanks for reading.

Blogathon a few days away!
Only a few more days until the Blogathon:

Arrgghh!
I've just noticed that both Livejournal.com and Photobucket.com are playing up for me, hope this doesn't continue, that could make the 'thon (where I'm blogging to support the amazing work of the NSPCC) a pain in the rear-end.
Just a reminder that I'm on schedule B which, for us GMT people, is 5am Sunday 29th until 5am Monday 30th. Then I'm going to sleep all day Monday, go to work at 6, home at 1 and sleep all day Tuesday, go to work at 6, home at 1 and sleep all day Wednesday which is my day off. That's the plan but I bet it doesn't work like that!
Anyways, boys and girls, I've decided that for the thon I'm going to have my usual nonsense (where-in I babble about DVDs, life etc) and quizzes, trivia questions and such. I'll make some (probably lame) graphics to announce champions and such like. It'll be good fun and all for charity.
My Mum thinks I'm mad for doing this. I do too actually as it's going to screw my sleep schedule up for a while. Still, that's the fun of it isn't it? :)
Good luck to all you 'thoners (if that's what the collective is known as), I've commented on some of your blogs to say 'hey' so feel free to say 'hey' here too or via any of the IM solutions that you like (comment and I'll add you type thing).
Right, I need sleep now, I'm at work at 8am and want to get to the post office to grab some DVDs beforehand.

Blogathon 2007!!!
Alright, I just received this weeks rota and I got the Sunday off. :D So Blogathon 2007 is a go!
I don't know how many of you are reading this, hopefully a few, if so then I hope to entertain over the coming event. I'll try at least.
Which means, yup, you guessed it, now is the time for you all to register with the Blogathon website and Sponsor Me!
I know it's last minute and I know I'm kinda anonymous here but please go on, every penny helps!! You can sponsor in your local currency (even though I'm in the UK and so is my charity) and you can sponsor ANY amount, either a lump sum or by the hour. Blogathon itself recieves no money from this, 100% goes to charity. So please, sponsor me! :D

Blogathon 2007
Blogathon 2007!
I've resurrected this blog to serve as my platform for Blogathon 2007. I'm gonna blog in set-B hopefully (if my manager will give me the Sunday off) from Sunday 29th July 2007 5AM (o_O) until Monday 5 AM . My chosen charity is the NSPCC because:
There's only 13 days to go so I'd best prepare.
All I ask is that you please sponsor me. You heard right:
Sponsor me please!
I'll be back sooon with more Blogathon stuffs!
Chris out.
EDITED TO ADD:
What's this blogathon stuff all about then?
It's where someone blogs every 30 minutes for a whole 24 hours. Blog entries can be about anything, contain anything and be in whatever style the blogger pleases. For this effor people (friends, family, co-workers, strangers) sponsor the blogger and give money to the blogger's nominated charity. As you can see, mine is the NSPCC. The sponsors can sponsor by the hour (as, even with the best of wills, people fall asleep) or in a lump sum. Money is NOT given to the blogger or to Blogathon, by clicking a sponsor link the sponsors are put in touch with the blogger's nominated charity directly. The charity recieves 100% of donated funds and Blogathon regularly raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities.
It's just another fun way to raise money for charity really.
So it's all for charity?
Yup, every penny. :D
How can we prove you're blogging every 30 minutes?
Easy. There are monitors over at Blogathon who check all submitted weblogs to make sure updates have been done. In this age of RSS that's easy peasy! :D
Also, this year, I'll be uploading a webcam image every 30 minutes like the following:
As you can see - the time and date are in the corner. So I can't escape! :)
